Welcome & Namaste,

These are some of the contemplations, reflections, affirmations and words of wisdom that have helped me greatly during this time.

I hope that some of these reflections might help you too.

I find that I've been triggered in ways that are far beyond my control during this time in lockdown for COVID-19/coronavirus.

People in my town spreading information around that it dangerous to the public at this time is a good example of something that's been hard to process for me.

Opinions about the virus being a "hoax", a government conspiracy, or "viruses aren't real" - these types of things.

I find myself getting angry for our most vulnerable populations, who've already been exposed in a big way where I come from; a nursing home having been infected for example.

These are the exact populations that we are trying to protect.

When I find myself spiralling into fear around what other people are doing, which does happen. It's helpful for me to come back to some of these ideas, concepts and practices from different meditation traditions.

Aparigraha (non-attachment, letting go) & Ishvara Pranidanda (surrender to the intelligence of life) have been important concepts for me to come back to.

I also wanted to share some of the things inspiring wisdom that have helped me through this time, including this poem from Brother Richard in Ireland.

I think it's just so beautiful.

You can find the poem HERE on Facebook where he posted it.

All of my heart and love to you and yours at this time, I'd love to hear from you in the comments below while I'm here in my home in a Self Isolation Lockdown.

Ally, I feel your light and I’m reflecting it right back to you. Thankyou. So many insightful seeds planted to nurture our soul. Tapping into positive light. Tapping into a knowing. Here we’ll find the peace. Breathing holds all the answers ✌🏻❤️ Love & Light

  • Linda says:

    Hi Ally🤗
That was so beautiful it really made me think about how I feel now. Not being able to hug friends and loved ones is really difficult. Yet I can still call them and connect; still feel grateful for life, nature reminds me of that each day. Believing we will over come this time of isolation into something more genuine more spiritual.

So wonderful, thank you. We are all together in spirit, you are the tether!

  • Lisa says:

Thank you so much Ally. I thankfully have had meditation in my toolbox for a while, but your meditations are really helping me take them deeper. Have a wonderful day xo

  • Julie says:

Thank you Ally. I too have been triggered and feeling anxiety and fear and that tight chest pain. It does help to focus on this great opportunity to go deeper and to trust that this is for the greater good. ‘As the ego weeps for what it has lost, the spirit rejoices.’ I have been saving quotes from all my meditations and this one I’ll be saving as well. Thank you so much for helping us stay connected through all of this. 💞

    • Ally says:

Yes, it’s hard! I feel deeply for the loss and collective fear that’s happening…. and also I’m holding this paradox, the opposite… that actually this can really serve both a massive awakening of humanity and also I can’t ignore how quickly the earth is regenerating herself since we humans have finally come up against something that is putting everything destructive that we are doing on hold. In a strange way, this might save the future for our children.

  • Yvonne says:

Thank you for this beautiful meditation. This is a difficult time and I am being drawn back towards a quieter time and seeking meditations to help me sleep, or at least calm down my thoughts. I believe in the greater good, but it’s comforting to listen to the beliefs and thoughts of other like minded individuals.

  • Hector says:

    Ally,
Thank you for that reassuring meditation and for reminding me that not all fear is bad, how we can use it and be aware of it to bring good.
Writing this early December and the start of Winter. Just coming out of our second lockdown but into severe restrictions here in the UK …. and there’s so much more to be done. This is opportunity for me and for all of us to be aware and awaken and to support Mother Nature rather than always attacking her.
    Thank you
