Welcome and Namaste πŸ™‚

Today's practice is simply meant to nourish you on all levels. I invite you to actually LAY DOWN for this practice (whaaaat?)

Please prop your body in a reclined position as I demonstrate in the video to keep yourself upright-ish in your supported position.

Feeling supported is so important.

Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, energetically... We can actually cultivate this feeling of support in our practice which will in turn, make us more aware of the support we already have in our lives.

Practicing being/feeling supported will also attract supportive people and situations into our experience through the confirmation bias in our brain. (If you're not familiar with this bias, just think of it a little bit like magic where when we give our brains something to look for, it starts appearing all around us, seemingly out of thin air!)

Some people actually consider this to be the quantum theory of the law of attraction. The law simply states that like attracts like. This is a law that exists on an energetic and molecular level. This works in the invisible, unseen realms of our existence such as the subtle bodies or "maya koshas".

Yes, I'm talking about the the subtle bodies -

Pranamaya Kosha/Energetic Body

Manomaya Kosha/Emotional/Mental Body/Psyche

Vijnanamaya Kosha/Witness Consciousness/Awareness Itself

Anandamaya Kosha/Spirit or Bliss Body

If you'd like to learn more about the subtle bodies I have a guided meditation through the lens of Ahimsa (Compassion) here.

I hope that you find today's exploration helpful in your meditation journey.

Please let me know in the comments below how this practice made you feel.

I'd love to know 3 things that you are inviting into your life in the way of feeling supported?

Lovely! Thank you! I’m really feeling the importance of self care and how it is also important for those around me! Supporting myself helps support others.

  • Tara Lee says:

Revitalized and relaxed. Comfort in knowing. I loved and welcomed this restorative position too. Three things eh…hmm – raising my positive vibration; accepting help; and creating my own bubble with limited outside media. Thanks Ally πŸ™‚

  • Tara says:

Thanks Ally. Trying my best to practice self care during this difficult time.

  • Paula says:

Getting to todays meditation later than I like.
Usual to meditation in the early morning, however after a long trying day this seemed like the perfect time. I felt very relaxed, I really felt myself let go in this very supportive position, all the craziness around me just disappeared.
    Thank you Ally
    πŸ™Namaste

  • Stella says:

I support vulnerable students or young people who are struggling with their emotions. I work in a Secondary School ( High School in the US?) This reminded me that it is also important for me to sometimes look for and receive support. It was a great way to start my day. Namaste

This meditation was very wonderful after a very stressful day at work… (trying to sort through different issues we haven’t faced before as a team).. so actually being profoundly aware of the support beneath my body helped to centre me and carry my mind away from my thoughts … and your soothing voice was so lovely…. So I’m going to invite..these things: patience for my self and others..in the knowledge we will find our way thru dark times.2) .deep appreciation for all that I have ‘right now’, And 3) laughter and lightness to help balance the other heavier struggles
